Here are the before and after pictures of a desk I bought for 5.00 at goodwill. It will be used in my booth at "Grandmas Attic". Also will price it to! I love to paint so as you can see I have another one (pictured below this one). The process was easy! The sanding didn't take to long and it was on to paint. I never use primer unless I have to. I did have to remove the veneer at the bottom of the desk though and then just sanded it smooth. The drawer front is toile wrapping paper. I am in love with toile, doesn't matter what color or pattern. Decoupage and trimming took the longest time to do. The top I painted black, took three coats because it was pretty bad. Anyway, I still have to put poly on it and also the knobs will be black for the drawer fronts. As my Aunt used to say, I have more on my plate than I can say grace over", so I probably have forgotten something! I am pleased with it and another piece of furniture was kept from the trash pile. Have a wonderful Day! (Blogger is not cooperating with me today, the before is listed last! Oh well, somethings just have to be difficult)
I am participating in Metamorphosis Monday over at Between naps on the Porch! Check it out!
