Home Dec!

Picture above is of the dining room. The fireplace is not real, I found it at a junk store. After paint and a faux insert, it turned out pretty well. The walls have a faux finish on them, and the fabric on the curtains and chairs came from a goodwill. I think I got like 20 yards of fabric for 20.00. Love, love it!

This is the end of the dining room, those french doors go out to a sunroom that we use a lot. Can you see my little shadow down at the right hand bottom of the picture? That is Maddy, a 4 1/2 pound poodle that we adore.

This is my landry room. The wallpaper is still up in here and I really like it, so it will stay for awhile. The old sideboard was purchased at a garage sale for 15.00. I painted it a yellow then antiqued it. Love the roosters and the toile. The little half bath was painted red with a gold glaze on top of it.

I am way behind on my posts, just to much going on! I love home decorating and hubby and I finished lots of wallpaper removal and painting so here are some of the results. God has been so good to me to allow me to be somewhat talented. Hubby says all I do is play and color! lol. I do enjoy it! Have a blessed day sweet friends!

Hallway Columns

Well, I am on a roll! I really enjoy decorative painting and finally I have some time to actually do it! I started this project about 12:30 today and finished about 4:30. The columns are 8 inches wide and I placed them low enough from the ceiling to put the pot of ferns on top. The vines are very easy to paint, as well as the leaves. Just takes time and patience. The colors are white and butter pecan on the column and green and brown was used on the vines. It actually is a very easy project. Measuring the columns and marking took up quite some time. I hope you enjoy it, if you have any questions or comments please leave them and I will respond as soon as possible. I hope you have a hobby of some kind! It is not only rewarding to see something created, it is a great stress reliever. Have a Blessed Day! (btw, that actually is a curtain rod with a sheer curtain wrapped around it, just couldn't leave it plain)

Sharing!

I love Decorative Painting, Home Decoration and Floral Design! When we moved here 4 years ago, there was to much wallpaper to deal with so my painting had to wait. Now I am on a roll! No telling where this will lead to! My ideas for this blog will be to share ways of using things that should go to the garbage and instead creating something that is beautiful and useful. I will be sharing pictures and instructions of the before and after along with stories of these "treasures". So please enjoy and if you have questions or comments, please leave them for me!
