Spring Wreath!

Do you think if all of us think Spring, it will come faster? lol. All the snow and cold weather we had, then to warm up for the past week was a shocker! We enjoyed the snow, but then we were tired of it! Come on Spring! So here is just one of the arrangements that I have been working on. I love the trend that is taking place with the style of wreaths, so just had to try one. All my grapevine wreaths were the big chunky ones, so the solution, take the wire loose that is holding them together and make two or three out of one. Instead of covering the grapevine up, some of it needs to show. Then it is simple to add greenery and the flowers of your choice. In some floral design there are rules, like the rule of threes, and the one and half to two times the size of your containers just to name a few. But then there is just "if it looks right to me". Everyone has their own style. I have to say my favorite is European Design. I love the open airy, yet very traditional flowers and the containers they are put in. I leaned the very basics when I went to floral design in Memphis, then later on learned country style from a lady that gave lessons. From then on, it really was just developing my own style. Anyway, all that just to say, I am on a roll! I have a booth that I share with a friend and we have got a lot to do getting ready for Spring! Wooo Hooo! This wreath along with two other arrangements are already on display, now just hoping they will sell.
Thank you for stopping by, I love your comments and look forward to checking out all the wonderful projects at Metamorphosis Monday, the link follows.
I hope you have a wonderful week. Blessings to you!

Fall Wreath!

Fall is definitely in the air here in southwest Missouri! I love it and am looking forward to cooler weather. My daughters and I have been on vacation in Pensacola Florida! It was wonderful! Every year we try to get together and go somewhere for a few days and catch up since we don't live that close to each other. Before I left I had made my arrangements and got them all hung in place. This wreath is on my back porch, because most of our guests come here. It was very easy to do and with lots of hot glue, it will survive until I take it apart next year. I have a goodwill store that usually keeps big bags of flowers, so I always have excess. I didn't do step by step instructions because it is pretty self explanatory. I hope you enjoy it, have a wonderful Metamorphosis Monday over at Between Naps on the Porch. Link is below!

Fall Wreath!

I don't know why I am thinking "fall" when it is clearly still summer. Hot, hot, hot is what we are experiencing here in Southwest Missouri. Maybe wishful thinking! I told myself I would not complain this summer because I really thought I would freeze to death last winter (maybe a little exaggeration going on) BUT, I am tired of this heat. Mostly for the fact it is so hard on people and animals! Anyway I had a wreath on my front door that was looking a little tired, so instead of making another one for summer, I decided to fix one for fall. It really will be here before you know it. ON a serious note, I really try not to complain about anything. God is so good to us and there are so many things to be thankful for. Being negative is like a disease that spreads and gives people hopelessness. I hope your week is going well, be careful and use something that would go in the trash and make it beautiful!
