Birds Nests and Old Windows!

I am participating in Metamorphosis Monday over at "Between Naps on the Porch". Check them out, you will find some very talented ladies.

I just love birds nest, there are so many ways to decorate with them. This is made from a picture frame with batting and fabric stretched on cardboard. The nest and branch were just simply glued on again with the hot glue. It is hanging in my sun room where I can see it through the patio doors. It was very easy to make, probably cost about 5.00 because I already had some of the materials.

A friend of mine gave me this old window. I was sooo excited and thankful that she gave it to me. When I bought this comforter set, it had an extra quilt with it. I knew exactly what I would do with it! After some measuring and running out of staples, I finished up with hot glue. Oh my what would I do with out glue and duct tape. LOL. The hanging was easy, I used heavy duty hooks on the back so it will not fall down. This room is called the Garden Room, it is so different than the rest of my house (that day bed really became a problem to me). It was either change it out or somehow use it. The shutter that you see came from our shed where hubby keeps our lawn mower. No telling what else is in there. I use it to keep cards in it. It is so easy just to run in there and pick one out than dig for one in my desk. As you can tell I love to take things that would other wise wind up in the trash, and make something useful and hopefully beautiful to. Thank you for visiting, have a wonderful week.

Diningroom Tablescape!

I am participating in Metamorphis Monday over at "Between Naps on the Frontporch", be sure and check out all these talented ladies!!!!

I have fallen in loooove with birds nest and eggs. The plastic eggs are spray painted in a plastic container with a gray primer. Then painted blue using a brush. I flyspecked them and that was it. I will post instructions when I fix more. On these I didn't take pictures. The flower arrangement was made with a $7.00 bunch from A to Z warehouse in Alma Arkansas. It is a great place to shop for home decor. The candle holders and candles are from a thrift shop that I visit frequently. The rooster has been moved all around my house and the tablecloth has a candle stain on it that when fixed in this way, no one can see it. Using what we already have and just moving it around will give a total different look and make you think it is "new". The bell jar was a 2.50 find, I also love those things. I hope you enjoyed the photos, I will try to get better about before and after. Have a Wonderful Day!
